Overkamp, Mesik, Alexander Also Claim Victories at US 131 Motorsports Park
MARTIN, Mich. – Kip Burkhardt’s .012 package in the final round would have left Rob Sanders with very little wiggle room even if the Granger driver hadn’t fouled away his chances at a Top Eliminator victory in Saturday’s Lane Automotive Bracket Series event at US 131 Motorsports Park.
Burkhardt combined a .009 reaction time with a track time of 8.314 seconds (on an 8.310 target) to get the win. Sanders fouled out by a narrow .009 of a second.
Other winners in the weekly program included Scott Overkamp of Hernando Beach, Fla., who prevailed in Modified; Steve Mesik of Plainwell, the winner in Street; and Nate Alexander of Howard City, who claimed the Masters Jr. Dragster over White Cloud’s Jake Foster.
Evan Muchler of Grass Lake won in Advanced Jr. and Karlie Denbleyker of Zeeland got the trophy in Beginner Jr.
