Hicks, DeHaan Get the Hardware in Combined Fun Ford-Mega Mopar Event

MARTIN, Mich. – It was a Mopar sweep of US 131’s annual “Battle of the Brands” as J.R. Hicks of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Gerry DeHaan of West Olive claimed the Modified and Street titles, respectively, in the Ford versus Mopar event combining elements of Fun Ford Weekend Series and Mega Mopar Series.

Hicks used a .040 package to turn back Cortney Goebel of Edgerton, Ohio.  DeHaan got a free pass to the winners’ circle when Rich Vanells of St. Johns was guilty of a foul start in the Street final.
