went on to win back-to-back championships in the Modified class in
1973, 1974, 1975, and 1976. He was not only an accomplished
racer here, but went on to win many races nationally, won national
championships and set numerous records in the NHRA.
Under many of Arnold's accomplishments, just to name a few, are
his induction into the Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1998.

US 131 Motorsports Park Super Chevy Show / Night of Thunder
Postponed by Rain Threat
The Super Chevy Show & Night of Thunder event, which was to
have been contested this weekend at US 131 Motorsports Park on May
30-31, has been postponed - not by rain or severe weather, but by
the threat thereof. And therein lies the source of track
manager Jason Peterson's frustration. "People are more than
ever making plans based on weather forecasts. It is
unfortunate that our business is so reliant on not only the "real"
weather, but also the forecasted weather. With such a nice
show planned and so many people traveling a good distance to attend
this weekend, we feel that it is in the best interest for all to
reschedule this event for later in the year."
