Fireworks Show, Live Band Among Extras at 30th annual Super Sled Shootout~Jeff Kerridge’s title in the Pro Outlaw class will be defeated this weekend when the world’s quickest snowmobiles share Michigan’s fastest track surface with the area’s hottest street bikes for the 30th renewal of the Super Sled Shootout and Dash for Cash motorcycle races at US 131 Motorsports Park.

The Pro Outlaw winner the last two years, Kerridge will be missed as he retired after last season. That leaves Pinkney’s Nick Cash, last year’s runner-up, and 2016 winner Cody Lavasseur of North Bay, Ontario, to be among this year’s contenders.

A star-studded field of NHRA Pro Stock Snowmobile pilots led by Glenn Hall of Gordon, Wis., the 2017 Super Sled champion and winner last August at the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd, MN, is expected to challenge defending champion Edwin Wirbel of Midland, Scotty Hagen of Oxford and Tina Duncanson of Acton, Ontario, among others.

For the eighth straight year, the snowmobiles will split track time with the Dash for Cash motorcycles which will compete in honor of the late Tim Mills, former IDBA World Finals-winning rider, promoter and creator of the original Dash for Cash motorcycle series in Muncie, IN.

The two-wheel contingent will race for more than $13,000 in cash in Pro ET, Street ET, Top Gas, Super Comp and the Midwest Hand Clutch Shootout. There also will be grudge racing, pro testing and exhibition runs plus a live band and fireworks to provide extra emphasis on Saturday.

The Dash for Cash is structured to pay back 100 percent of the entry fees collected in the ET classes.

For adults, daily gate admission is $15 or admission for the weekend (Friday-Sunday) is $40. Tickets for children 6-12 are $5 per day with children under six free when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Free parking and a pit pass are included with each ticket.
