NMCA/NMRA All-American Nationals Also Features Xtreme Pro Mods, Car Show~
The world’s most awesome factory hot rods challenge Michigan’s fastest track this weekend when the very best of the NMCA (National Muscle Car Association) and the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) compete in the All-American Nationals at US 131 Motorsports Park.
Cobra Jet Mustangs, COPO Camaros and Hellcat Chargers and Challengers race for cash and cred in an event that also includes a massive car show and a manufacturers’ midway featuring products and professional expertise from the biggest companies in the high-performance industry.
In deference to the COVID-19 guidelines imposed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, only a limited number of VIP spectator tickets are available for the event on a first-come, first-served basis. If purchased online before 6 p.m. on Thursday, daily tickets are $20 for adults. The same tickets will be $25 at the gate. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
In addition to the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown, the COPO Shootout, the Mopar Hemi Challenge and the Holley EFI Supercar Spectacular, the event also will feature the unpredictable Xtreme Pro Modifieds, the world’s quickest and fastest door cars, the muscle cars of the Fast Appearing Stock Tire series and factory hot rods with naturally-aspirated engines racing on 9-inch tires in the Motor City Muscle Challenge.
One of the most unique aspects of the event is the pledge by Chevrolet and Dodge/Mopar to comp the entry fee for drivers of LS or modern LT-powered Chevys and drivers of Gen III-powered Challengers, Demons, Chargers, Hellcats and Jeeps.
A No-Box bracket race will also be conducted this weekend. Racers can come as early as Thursday for the weekend or show up on Sunday and receive one time trial before eliminations after the Heads-Up eliminations at 10:45 a.m. Thursday Test & Tune, bracket race entry for the weekend is $110, Friday weekend pass includes two time trials, entry is $90, Saturday time trials and Run for the Money weekend pass is $70 and Sunday race entry with one time trial is $50.
Gates open at 8 a.m. Friday, Index classes time trial at 8:30 a.m. first qualifying runs at 11 a.m. for the Heads-Up classes. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with Xtreme Pro Mod qualifying at 11:00 a.m. and first round of eliminations at 4:30 p.m. Gates open Sunday at 8 a.m. with the Aerospace Components Winners’ Circle celebration kicking off the conclusion of elimination rounds in all categories.
