MARTIN, Mich. – Racers representing US 131 Motorsports Park enjoyed a banner weekend at Montgomery International Dragway where they won two outright World Championships and were in contention for a couple other at the second annual World Drag Racing Alliance Bracket Finals.

Plainwell’s Kyle Wanamaker, a three-time reigning US 131 track champion, won the World Championship in the Sportsman class and was joined in celebration by six-time track champion Evan Muchler of Grass Lake, who was the last one standing in the Jr. Dragster division.

Grand Haven’s Jeff Green reached the semifinals in Motorcycle before mechanical issues took him out of contention and reigning World Champion Donnie Hagar of Clarklake drove his 1972 Chevy Vega into the quarterfinals in No Box.

Another US 131 racer, Hartford’s Trey Goodson, got the team off to a positive start when he won the Pit Vehicle Race on opening day.
