NHRA Special Events at US 131 Motorsports Park

The NHRA National Open – Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Divisional Event brings together top regional racers competing for points, pride, and a shot at national recognition. Expect intense competition across multiple classes as drivers push their limits on one of the Midwest’s premier tracks.

Then, experience the thrill of the NHRA Great Lakes Nationals, where the nation’s best racers take center stage. This high-energy event features elite competition, roaring engines, and unforgettable moments for fans of all ages.

The Northern Nationals presented by Gun Lake Casino Resort returns this year with an action-packed lineup featuring two 320+ MPH Top Fuel Dragsters, the Nitro Chaos Funny Car Series, Nostalgia Front Engine Dragsters, four Top Fuel Harleys, Jet Funny Cars, and Jet Dragsters, Wheel Stander.

New for 2026, the event proudly welcomes the MWDRS – Midwest Drag Racing Series, delivering one of the baddest Pro Mod showcases in the country.

Rounding out this incredible weekend are two jet Funny Cars, the Larsen Motorsports jet-powered dragsters, and crowd favorite Rick Ream in his legendary wheel-standing fire truck. This is a one-of-a-kind motorsports spectacle you won’t want to miss!

Ticket Information

Advance tickets* are $40 for Saturday. Children ages 6–12 are $7 each, and children five and under are FREE with a paid adult. Parking for non-oversized vehicles is FREE.

At-the-gate pricing is $25 for Friday and $45 for Saturday. Children ages 6–12 are $10 per day, and children five and under are FREE with a paid adult. Car parking remains FREE, with overflow motorhome parking available for $175 for the weekend.

*Tickets are considered advance purchases when bought by 12:00 a.m. (midnight) the day before event. Advance tickets may be printed or scanned via QR code on your smart device at the gate. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate each race day.

• Spectators are prohibited from bringing pit vehicles and alcohol.
• US 131 MSP has a no-refund policy. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, tickets will be honored at a future US 131 MSP event.
